"A Page is Turned"

In coming back from my sister’s wedding, I cannot help but remember the song Courtney and Will had their first dance to… ‘A Page is Turned.’  What a beautiful song, and just as God is turning the page in the story He is writing for the two of them, the page is turning in my story as well.  I am heading back into the new chapter of Camp BlueSky!

I know that the past chapter has been such a blessing, and God is broadening my perspective on His love, the people of His kingdom.  It has been incredible to begin becoming a part of so many lives, first at Rosslyn and the students and families that are a part of that community; then as I had the opportunities to go into the slums and be with the women on Kenya who are being enabled to use their gifts and skills in sewing, and the children who are so full of joy and hunger for hearing of the one true God.  And becoming part of what God is doing in Western…how He is raising up pastors and servants and watching how He provides.  They have such a deep love for the people God has entrusted to their shepherding care; they know what it is to be dependant on the One who provides, whether it be for their livestock, for their crops, for their children, or simply for life.  He is the ‘source of this much life.’

What a gift it was to be a part of such a beautiful wedding. It was a time of being with family and friends that I have deeply missed; and a time of sharing all that God has been doing in me, and here in Kenya with those who have been praying and supporting me.  God poured out His blessings on us that weekend!  There was so much joy, love, laughter- just a taste of what it will be in the new heaven/new earth, when we are united in marriage to the Prince of Princes!
