Psalm 45:10-11 "Now listen, daughter, dont miss a word: forget your country, put your home behind you. Be here- the King is wild for you. Since he's your lord, adore him."
Sunday night I had the opportunity to go with several high school students to an orphanage 'The Nest' right down the street from where we live. We experienced three women providing a loving home for about 20 infants who otherwise would have no home at all.
The process of leaving home has not come without plenty of grieving, hesitation, and fear; and this is just the beginning of this journey. But as the LORD has invited me to 'come away' with Him, He has not only clearly and faithfully been preparing the way, but has come and made His home with me. He goes before me and beside me. Wherever I am- in Athens, what I've know as home since I was a child, my home as an 'adult' in Rome, and now in Nairobi, Kenya- beneath the shadow of His wings, I am home. This is home.
John 14:23 "Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."
